Chichester Central School will foster a learning community in which academic excellence is promoted, respect for self and others shared, and childhood memories created that lead to a happy, successful adulthood.
Chichester Central School is a small K-8 rural school east of Concord, New Hampshire. We have approximately 200 students and pride ourselves on small class sizes and being a close knit community. Our talented innovative staff are committed to ensuring every student has every opportunity and necessary support to grow to their potential. We are committed to fostering the social-emotional, developmental, intellectual, and physical needs of every child. We strive to work with the broader community to ensure that students develop lifelong skills enabling them to be contributing and productive members of society.
Dear CCS Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Chichester Central School! We are so excited to welcome back our returning students and families and to extend a warm greeting to those who are joining the CCS community for the first time. Whether you're new to the building or returning, we’re thrilled to begin another year of learning, growth, and connection together.
Over the summer, we’ve welcomed a new office team who have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for a smooth and successful start to the school year. Please join me in welcoming Andrea Brannock, our new Assistant Principal and Special Education Director, and Doreen Taylor, our new Administrative Assistant. We’re all looking forward to getting to know you and working together to support our students.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 27. Drop-off runs from 8:00–8:15 a.m., and dismissal begins at 2:45 p.m. Buses will drop off students at the front of the school, while families who are driving should follow the loop around the building for both drop-off and pick-up. For the first two days, students will meet their teachers outside on the field/playground before entering the building. Teachers will be holding signs with their names. Please refer to the map that is on the backside of this letter showing where each grade level should report.
If you haven’t already, please complete the Transportation Form for each child who will be riding the bus. This will ensure your child is on the correct route for the first day of school. The form can be accessed at: https://forms.gle/c18Kin3ZAN3T3Ghq6
To help manage any changes to your child’s dismissal routine, we use PickUp Patrol, a tool that allows families to notify the school and teacher of how a student is getting home if it differs from their usual plan. A link to register will be sent via email this week. Please be sure to sign up before the first day of school.
It is also important that ALMA is updated for all students before school begins. This online system allows families to review and update important information such as emergency contacts, medical records, and immunization updates. Completing this process ensures the safety and well-being of all students. Access ALMA on our school website or at: https://cc.getalma.com/
Please note that there will be no school on Friday, August 29 and Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day weekend.
We hope you’ll join us for our Family BBQ and Open House on Thursday, September 4, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to meet staff, visit classrooms, and get to know our school community. Our first PTO meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, September 9, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the school library. All are welcome to attend and hear more about the exciting work the PTO is doing to support CCS students and staff.
We’re looking forward to a joyful and successful school year, and we can’t wait to see everyone soon!
Warmly, Tanya Teeboom Principal Chichester Central School
The individual is the most important part of the education process. The school is a means of helping the individual to become a contributing member of society.
In reaching this goal, the school will strive to make each student a mature individual who has developed a respect for his/herself, and for other persons and property.
The Chichester Central has the responsibility of developing in each child learning skills that the child will need.
In attempting to reach that goal, each child shall be afforded opportunities to develop his/her potential to the maximum.
